This Privacy Policy explains how Small Clamps ("Small Clamps," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses and protects personal information when you visit smallclamps.com (the "Site"), contact us, request a quote or buy products from us. It also explains the privacy rights you may have under United States federal law and state law, including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, the "CCPA"), the California Online Privacy Protection Act ("CalOPPA") and California's "Shine the Light" law. This policy also serves as our notice at collection for California residents.
Small Clamps is a business-to-business supplier of workholding products featuring the Mitee-Bite and Carr Lane Manufacturing brands. Our Site and services are intended for business customers and are not directed to consumers for personal, family or household use.

We may receive business contact information from manufacturers and distribution partners (for example, when a manufacturer refers a customer inquiry to us), from shipping carriers about delivery status, and from publicly available business sources.

3. How we use information
- To answer your questions and prepare and send quotes
- To process, ship and support orders, and to handle returns and warranty matters
- To communicate with you about your inquiries, orders and our products
- To operate, maintain, secure and improve the Site, including understanding which products and pages visitors find useful
- To detect, prevent and respond to fraud, abuse, security incidents and other harmful activity
- To keep business, tax and accounting records and to comply with legal obligations
- To enforce our terms and protect the rights, property and safety of Small Clamps, our customers and others
We will not collect additional categories of personal information or use it for materially different purposes without giving you notice.
4. How we disclose information
We disclose personal information only as follows:
- Service providers that perform services for us under written contracts that limit their use of the information, such as website hosting, email, website analytics, payment processing, accounting and IT security providers.
- Manufacturers and shipping carriers when needed to fill, ship or support your order (for example, the product manufacturer for drop-shipped or warranty items).
- Legal and safety purposes: to comply with law, subpoenas or other legal process, to respond to lawful requests from government authorities, or to protect rights, property and safety.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of all or part of our business, subject to this policy.
- With your direction or consent.
5. No sale or sharing of personal information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined in the CCPA. We have not done so in the preceding 12 months. We do not sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16 years of age. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would require offering a right to limit under the CCPA.
6. Cookies, analytics and tracking
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. The Site uses:
- Essential cookies needed for the Site to work and to keep it secure. Additional WordPress cookies are set only for site administrators who log in.
- Analytics cookies from Google Analytics (set through Google Site Kit), such as
_gaand_ga_<ID>, which can last up to 2 years. These help us understand how visitors use the Site, such as which pages and products are viewed. We use Google Analytics to measure Site use, not to show you advertising.
The Site also loads certain code libraries from third-party content delivery networks, which receive your IP address and browser information as part of delivering those files.
Third-party tracking. Google may collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites when you use the Site. You can learn how Google uses this information at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and you can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some Site features may not work properly without them.
7. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Do Not Track. Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. Because there is no common industry standard for how to respond to DNT signals, the Site does not currently change its behavior in response to them.
Global Privacy Control. We treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, or another legally recognized opt-out preference signal, as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for that browser and any profile we associate with it. Because we do not sell or share personal information, no further action is required on your part. Learn more at globalprivacycontrol.org.
8. Your California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, including a California resident acting on behalf of a business, you have the following rights under the CCPA, subject to certain exceptions:
- Right to know and access the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources, the business purposes for collecting it, and the categories of third parties to whom we disclosed it.
- Right to delete personal information we collected from you.
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
- Right to data portability: to receive your personal information in a portable, readily usable format.
- Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. We do not sell or share personal information.
- Right to limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not use sensitive personal information for purposes that require this right.
- Right to non-discrimination and no retaliation: we will not deny you goods or services, charge you different prices, or provide a different level of quality because you exercised your privacy rights.
9. How to submit a privacy request
To exercise any of your rights, email us at info@smallclamps.com with the subject line "Privacy Request," or call us at (619) 704-3113. Please tell us which right you want to exercise and the state where you live.
- Verification. To protect your information, we will verify your identity by matching information you provide (such as your name, email address and company) with information in our records. We may ask for more information if needed. We will use information provided for verification only for that purpose.
- Authorized agents. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We may require written, signed permission from you and may ask you to verify your identity directly with us, unless the agent holds a valid power of attorney.
- Timing. We will confirm receipt of your request within 10 business days and respond within 45 calendar days. If we need more time (up to an additional 45 days), we will tell you why.
- Fees. We do not charge a fee to process requests unless they are manifestly unfounded or excessive.
10. California "Shine the Light"
California Civil Code § 1798.83 permits California residents to request information about the personal information a business has disclosed to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes. Questions may be sent to info@smallclamps.com.
11. Rights in other U.S. states
Residents of other states with consumer privacy laws, including Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and Virginia, may have rights similar to those described above, such as the right to confirm whether we process your personal data, and to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of it, and to opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, and profiling with legal or similarly significant effects. We do not sell personal data, use it for targeted advertising, or engage in such profiling.
To make a request, follow the steps in Section 9. Appeals: if we decline to take action on your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision or emailing info@smallclamps.com with the subject line "Privacy Request Appeal." We will respond to your appeal in writing within the time required by your state's law. If your appeal is denied, you may contact your state Attorney General.
Nevada residents: we do not sell covered information as defined in Nevada law (NRS Chapter 603A). You may still submit an opt-out request to the email above.
12. Children's privacy
The Site is intended for business users and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, as defined by the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Email communications
If we send you commercial email messages, they will comply with the federal CAN-SPAM Act, identify Small Clamps as the sender, and include a way to unsubscribe. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions or by emailing info@smallclamps.com. We may still send you messages about quotes, orders and other transactions you request.
14. Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law:
- Inquiries and quote requests: for the length of our business relationship and up to 3 years after our last contact.
- Order, invoice and customer records: up to 7 years after the transaction, to meet tax, accounting and warranty obligations.
- Google Analytics data: no longer than 14 months.
- Server and security logs: generally no longer than 12 months, unless needed to investigate a security incident.
15. Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections to the Site, access controls and security monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a security breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by California Civil Code § 1798.82 and other applicable state laws. Please do not send payment card numbers or other sensitive information by regular email.
16. Third-party websites
The Site links to websites we do not control, such as carrlane.com and other manufacturer sites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and we encourage you to read them.
17. Visitors outside the United States
Small Clamps is based in the United States, and the Site is intended for users in the United States. Information we collect is processed and stored in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.
18. Accessibility
If you have a disability and need this policy in an alternative format, please email info@smallclamps.com and we will provide it in a format you can use.
19. Changes to this policy
We review this Privacy Policy at least once every 12 months and may update it from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If we make material changes, we will post a prominent notice on the Site before the changes take effect.
